8th Annual Bryan C. Pottberg Memorial Golf Tournament

The 8th Annual Bryan C. Pottberg Memorial Golf Tournament occurred Monday, August 1st at the Lakewood Oaks Golf Course. The tournament is organized by the Lee’s Summit Fire Fighter’s Association to honor one of their own who died in the line of duty as a Lee’s Summit Fire Fighter 12 years ago.
Nearly 160 golfers braved the heat at Lakewood Oaks Golf Course in Lee’s Summit to compete for prizes and raffle items. The revenue generated from hosting the tournament has been used to help fund the construction of Bryan C. Pottberg Park on Bowlin Rd. Since the park is completed, scholarships are given annually to area high school seniors seeking a career in public safety.
