A Blue Springs man has been charged with abandoning a corpse after he led Blue Springs police this weekend to a body dumped in a Cass County creek, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced today.
Lance S. Gross, 52, has been charged with Abandonment of a Corpse, a Class D felony.
The charge was filed this afternoon and a bond of $150,000 was requested by prosecutors. A probable cause statement was not immediately available this evening. A copy will be released Monday. The Cass County Sheriff's Office assisted today in the search for and recovery of the body, found near 315th Street and T Highway.
