Auto Accident on US 50 Highway, Lee's Summit

Auto Accident on US 50 Highway, Lee's Summit

Officers of the Lee's Summit Police Department are currently working a multiple vehicle accident in the eastbound lanes of US 50 Highway near the east junction of 291 Highway.

The accident has the eastbound lanes of 50 highway shut down in that area as well as the entrance ramp from the west junction of 291 highway onto eastbound 50 highway.

Minor injuries were reported and the crash involved as many as 8 vehicles.

Crews expect the roadway to be closed for approximately one hour while the scene is cleared up.
