Bring Out Your Competitive Side At Oktoberfest

Wiener Dog Contest


Make this year’s Oktoberfest extra fun by
entering one of the two contests that will
take place at the 2012 Oktoberfest, held
September 28-29 in downtown Lee’s Summit.

Think you have the cutest baby around? Then grab your little one and enter the Oktoberfest Baby Contest, presented by Child Abuse Prevention Association, on Saturday, September 29. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at the Main Stage with the contest beginning at 10 a.m. Categories include; Girls: 0-12 months, 12-24 months and 24-36 months; Boys: 0-12 months, 12-24 months and 24-36 months; and Twins: 0-36 months. Winners will be selected for each group and prizes will be awarded. Interested parties should register online at lsoktoberfest.com and review the complete list of rules and regulations. Registration is limited. Early-bird registration (due by 9/27) is $5 per baby; day-of registration (if available) will be $10 per baby.

 For the fifth year in a row Oktoberfest will feature its extremely popular and highly anticipated Wiener Dog Contest. The contest, presented by Brookside Barkery and Bath, will begin at noon on Saturday, September 29 at the Main Stage. Everyone is invited to join the fun and bring your wiener dog or just enjoy the entertainment of the parade. Interested parties should register online at lsoktoberfest.com and review the complete list of rules and regulations. Early-bird registration (due by 9/27) is $5 per dog; day-of registration will begin at 11 a.m., and the cost is $10 per dog. Prizes, provided by Brookside Barkery & Bath, will be awarded to the best in each category. Categories include: best costume, best trick and best owner/pet look-a-like.
