Bunny Hop, Saturday, March 30 Downtown Lee's Summit

Enjoy a Walking Parade; Pictures with the Easter Bunny; Candy from Participating Stores; an Easter Bonnet/Hat Contest and More!

Line-up Begins at 9:45 a.m. in City Hall Plaza, 220 S.E. Green St.

Bring your basket, decorate an Easter bonnet or hat and hop around Downtown Lee's Summit from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 30. The Downtown Bunny Hop is a free family activity that includes a walking parade with the Easter Bunny and free candy from participating downtown businesses. The Bunny Hop is sponsored by the Bank of Lee's Summit.

Kids and parents should meet by 9:45 a.m. at City Hall Plaza, 220 S.E. Green St. to line up. At 10 a.m., the Easter Bunny and the historic fire pumper will lead a parade up Third Street to Howard Station Park on S.E. Main Street. Lee's Summit Community Christian School will provide music for the parade. After the parade, families can participate in a variety of activities, including:

    Pictures with the Easter Bunny in Howard Station Park (be sure to bring your camera).
         
    "Bunny Hop" dance lessons from Heart of America Dance Centre.
         
    Best Decorated Easter Bonnet/Hat Contest (all ages are welcome; prizes will be awarded).
         
    Historic fire pumper display and free plastic fire helmets from the Lee's Summit Fire Fighters Association #2195.
         
    Up-close look at baby chicks and bunnies.
    Free candy at participating Downtown business until noon (while supplies last).
