Macy’s celebrates their Grand Opening
with a fabulous day of private shopping benefiting the non-profit community
Calling all Kansas City area non-profits, schools and churches that want to make money when Macy’s opens at Summit Fair Mall! Macy’s has just the ticket for local non-profit organizations. Organizations that sell $5 “shopping pass tickets” to supporters, keep the entire proceeds. Ticket holders then use their tickets at Macy’s Summit Fair on Saturday, August 1, 2009 to get a sneak preview of the new store and receive the following exclusive offers on their purchases all day:
• Customers save an extra 25 percent* on apparel and accessories
• Customers save an extra 10 percent* on home items

There are three additional incentives for organizations – The organization that sells the most tickets in advance of August 1 will receive a $1,000 bonus and the organization that brings in the most attendees on August 1 will also receive a $1,000 bonus. Tickets will also be sold at the door on August 1 with the proceeds of those ticket sales divided equally among the five organizations with the highest attendance that day. Schools, churches and non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status are eligible to participate.
