Character Patrol: Steve Moore
December 1, 2012
By Jessica Root Intern Reporter for the Tribune intern@lstribune.net
Steve Moore, a self-employed builder, was referred to the Weilert family by the flooring company for their new house in Lakewood, Armstrong-Citywide.
“Steve was working in our new house and he did a fantastic job installing our wooden flooring,” Martha Weilert, LSN senior, said. “My mom was asking him about a ramp for moving our harp and he said he might have some scraps to use in case she wanted one.”
The next day, the Weilert’s were surprised with a custom-made ramp.
“It looks amazing,” Weilert said. “Steve wouldn’t take any money for it.”
Steve generously went out of his way to give the Weilert family a special addition to their new home; after all, ‘tis the season of giving.
