According to the Probable Cause Statement obtained from the Jackson County Prosecutors Office, June 26th at approximately 3:53 p.m. Jackson County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a report of a robbery in progress with shots fired.  Upon arrival at the residence officers were informed that “three black makes just robbed them and left out of the back, basement door traveling on foot eastbound towards 13th Ave. N.”

The victims stated that three black males entered thru the basement door with a gun drawn. They demanded the first victim give them everything. Other occupants of the house were gathered into the basement and their hands bound with duct tape. The suspects continually demanded all the plants and the victim had to show them that there were no plants. At this time the suspects grabbed everything else they had gathered, fired a shot into a wall and ran out the door.

The victim was able to identify Mr. Lowery who had a t-shirt over his head, by his voice and body build as he had known him for over six years. The victims gave Greenwood Police permission to search the residence and collect evidence. Among other items recovered were a spent 40 S&W shell casing and a fragmented bullet.

With the assistance of the Lee’s Summit Police Department, Lowery was apprehended. He indicated he did not have the gun and only knew the first names of the other two suspects. He also stated he thought they were going to hang out and had no prior knowledge of the intent to rob the victims.

I'm sorry, but I have to say that black men using a weapon to rob people in their homes, on the street, in stores, etc., is just to common to be considered racial stereotyping! It has to be stopped, and these "three black males" should be made examples! Instead of putting them in jail to live off of the taxpayers, let's make a chain gang and let them work off their debt. I'll be a boss...I don't have a lot else to do right now.

Mr. Dailey you are totally out of bounds your statement is ignorant, illogical, and flawed to the core. One that is a dumb way to make an example, two if you want to make an example you don't do it with one race you do it with felons in general. WHen you make statements that black males/females ought to be made the example of you continue to ignore the issue that there are many whites selling high end drugs such as cocaine, meth, and heroine. Not only that but you are almost stating these crimes ought to be more punishable are thusly are worse crimes than crimes committed by others. Open you eyes and quit being such a bigot and a chauvinistic moron.
Lets not ignore the fact that I am not stating that this crime is awful and does need to end. I am clearly stating I dont care who or what race commits the crime it needs to come to an end.
