City’s Crews Preparing Equipment for Possible Snow Early Wednesday
January 29, 2013
In preparation for the potential snowfall forecast for early Wednesday, Jan. 30, the City of Lee’s Summit’s snow removal crews are preparing equipment for the winter storm.
Pre-treatment is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 29, provided the rain moves out of the area which will prevent the deicing materials from washing off roadways.
A winter storm system is expected to move into our area early Wednesday morning bringing the potential for a trace up to one inch of snowfall.
The City’s crews will continue to monitor the weather and adjust snow removal operations as needed.
You may call the Snow Desk at (816) 969-1870. Normal business hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. During winter storm events, the Snow Desk operates 24 hours a day.
