City's Snow Crew Prepared for Sunday's Winter Weather

December 6, 2013

With snow expected in the metropolitan area early in the morning on Sunday, Dec. 8, the City of Lee’s Summit will have a 10-person snow removal crew reporting to work at 11 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The City’s snow removal operation will increase to 18 staff on Sunday to plow and treat public streets throughout the City.

As with all snow events, the City will continue to monitor the weather and adjust snow removal operations as needed.

You may call the Snow Desk at (816) 969-1870 during normal business hours, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

During winter storm events, the Snow Desk operates 24 hours a day.

For more information about the City’s snow removal program, visit www.LSpw.net and click on “Snow and Ice Removal” or stay-up-to-date on Nixle and Facebook.
