Combat to Hold Series of Town Hall Meetings

Jackson County COMBAT (Community Backed Anti-Drug Sales Tax) will be conducting three town hall meetings over the next week to discuss prescription and over the counter drug abuse.
 
The dates, times and locations of the meetings are as follows:

Saturday, October 20 – Nutter Ivanhoe Neighborhood Center (2:00-4:00 PM)
3700 Woodland Avenue | Kansas City, Missouri

Tuesday, October 23 – Guadalupe Center (6:00-7:30 PM)
1015 Avenida Cesar E.Chavez | Kansas City, Missouri

Wednesday, October 24 – St. Mary’s Medical Center (6:00-7:30 PM)
Education Center | 201 NW R.D. Mize Road | Blue Springs, Missouri

At each meeting, COMBAT staff will inform citizens about how to safely store prescription and over-the-counter drugs; as well as how to properly dispose of expired drugs. A panel of healthcare professionals and substance abuse experts will also speak about prescription and over-the-counter drug abuse.
