Call To Artists For The Blue Springs Fine Art Show

The Blue Springs Art League and its co-sponsors, the City of Blue Springs Parks and Recreation Department and ImageMakers Photo Club invite artists to submit entries in the Blue Springs 35th Annual Fine Art Show.
This very popular and unique art show will take place March 9 & 10, 2013 at Vesper Hall, 400 NW Vesper, Blue Springs, Missouri. Admission is free to the public.
All artists must preregister.The entry fee is $35 per artist for a maximum of two pieces. Early registration is encouraged due to space limitations. Artist registration forms are available at the Vesper Hall information desk (400 NW Vesper), Blue Springs Parks and Recreation desk (City Hall, 903 Main) and both Blue Springs Mid-Continent Libraries (850 NW Hunter Drive and 2220 SW 7 Highway). The deadline for entries is February 22, 2013.

There are eleven categories: Transparent (watercolor), Opaque (oil or acrylic), Pastel, Mixed Media (2 or more mediums), Drawing (pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, colored pencil), Animal/Wildlife (all mediums, no photography), Portrait (human only, all mediums, no photography), 3-D Sculpture (free-standing), Photography-Color, Photography-Black & White, and Photography-Wildlife.
Cash awards will be given: Best of Show ($150), Best of Show–Photography ($150), Second Best of Show ($100), Third Best of Show ($75), and First ($50), Second ($35) and Third ($25) Places in each category.
