Character Patrol: Rosemary Freeman

January 26, 2013

By Jessica Root

On Sunday, January 13, Rosemary Freeman was doing her grocery shopping at CVS. When she reached the register, she noticed that the high school student in front of her did not have enough money to purchase two snacks.

Rather than shrugging away the uncomfortable situation, Freeman paid it forward and bought the boy his snacks.

“He looked at me very shy and said, ‘thank you,’” Freeman said. “I told him that I have teenage grandchildren and hope that someone would do the same for them.”

This week’s Character Patrol is brought to you by me, Jessica Root.

Be inspired to notice the random acts of kindness that are part of every day.
