Downtown Lee’s Summit Chocolate Crawl

Calling all chocolate lovers! Downtown Lee’s Summit will host its 4th Annual Chocolate Crawl from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011. Customers are invited to follow the pink and red balloons to free chocolate treats and health screenings while they shop for Valentine’s Day.
Customers should follow the pink balloons to over 35 participating stores, where they can enjoy a variety of free chocolate treats and may enter to win a $100 Downtown Lee’s Summit shopping spree. The first 300 shoppers will also have a chance to win one of five $20 downtown gift checks sponsored by Lee’s Summit Medical Center. Shoppers should visit either A Thyme for Everything (229B SE Main) or The Living Stone (231 SE Main Street) for their chance to win.
Did you know dark chocolate is good for your heart? Sweet treats can be healthy, too! In celebration of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement which raises awareness about heart disease, Lee’s Summit Medical Center will offer free health screenings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The health screenings will include cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, bone density, weight, body fat, balance, posture and more. Over 15 health screening stations will be offered inside participating businesses throughout downtown. All health screening stations will be marked with red balloons.
