Friends of Mizzou Picnic & Auction Benefits Scholarship Efforts
Mizzou Alumni Association-Kansas City Chapter Hosts Annual Family Event
Alumni and friends from the University of Missouri-Columbia will be gathering to raise scholarship funds at the annual "Friends of Mizzou Picnic & Auction." The family-friendly festivities will take place on August 21 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at The Pavilion at John Knox Village in Lee's Summit, Mo.
Guests can enjoy a BBQ dinner catered by Westport Flea Market, live and silent auctions, and activities in the Mizzou Kids' Zone - all in the air-conditioned comfort of The Pavilion. KMBC-TV’s Larry Moore will serve as host for the evening.
The live and silent auctions will help raise money for the scholarship fund of the Kansas City Chapter of University of Missouri-Columbia alumni. Each year the Chapter awards more than $55,000 in scholarships to area high school seniors who will be attending Mizzou.
