Great Harvest Bread Set to Join Lee’s Summit Farmer’s Market

March 30, 2017

Bakery-cafe to introduce its fresh products with patrons of Downtown Lee’s Summit Farmer’s Market

Great Harvest Prairie Village will now be sharing their handcrafted products with the patrons of the Downtown Lee’s Summit Farmer’s Market. Sarah and Brian Berlin, owners of Great Harvest Bread, are excited to join the market and introduce people to the fresh products from “Bread Heaven.”

Great Harvest will offer eight specialty breads – including local favorites Dakota, Challah and Cinnamon Chip breads – and a full lineup of seasonal goodies and coffees.

“Some of the best ideas on the menu have come from our customers,” Sarah Berlin said. “We are listening and love trying new requested recipes.”

The partnership with the Downtown Lee’s Summit Farmer’s Market, located at the corner of 2nd and Douglas Streets, will begin April 1 and run through Nov. 18. Great Harvest will give away a free cookie with the purchase of any loaf of bread on April 1.

“We love fresh from farm, and want to be a part of that environment,” Sarah Berlin said. “We hear from our customers all the time saying they drive from all corners of the Kansas City area and now we have the chance to bring all of their favorites from Great Harvest to their local market.”

Great Harvest plans to also participate in other Farmer’s Markets throughout the year, including Olathe Farmers’ Market (1205 E. Kansas City Road, Olathe) on Saturdays from April 29-Oct. 21 and Gladstone Farmers’ Market (7117 N. Prospect, Gladstone) on Wednesdays between May 3 and Oct. 25.

About Great Harvest Bread Company
Great Harvest Bread has spent the past 40 years perfecting the combination of ingredients to make the freshest and authentic breads and pastries, as well as the newer sandwiches, grain bowls and soups, growing to over 200 locations, all of which continue to mill their own Golden Triangle wheat every morning from scratch. Providing local communities with authentic breads and pastries made fresh daily, the brand is now growing through franchising with a new bakery-cafe model ideal for multi-unit ownership. Open during three parts of the day—breakfast, lunch and dinner— the menu has grown beyond a wide variety of soft, delicious breads to include soups and sandwiches.
