On Saturday, March 31, Greenwood Parks and Recreation held its inaugural Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt. As the community arrived, they were greeted by Parks and Recreation volunteers with cookies to decorate and coloring sheets.
Local teens began to hide over 6,000 eggs on two of our newly renovated baseball fields.
When the air horn sounded, children bounded into the grass to grab eggs and giggle with friends and family.
After gathering eggs, families stayed to enjoy treats, decorate more cookies, get pictures taken with the Easter Bunny and get a balloon friend from two talented balloon artists.
Special thanks to Cosentino’s Price Chopper and Dairy Queen for their help with the event!
