Summit Christian Academy was buzzing with excitement Wednesday afternoon as Hy-Vee Human Resource Manager Justin Erisman and Hy-Vee Store Operations Manager Aimee Fadler joined anatomy students in the High School Science Lab to present them with a SmartBoard and iPad.

SCA families participated in Proctor & Gamble’s three-month promotion through the Lee’s Summit HyVee Stores.  Families entered the Smart Points from Proctor & Gamble purchases online to win the SmartBoard and iPad.  The addition of this SmartBoard to the science department allows SCA teachers the opportunity “to bring science to life,” using state-of-the art technology.  Thank you, Hy-Vee!

“At Summit Christian Academy we work daily to inspire students to achieve their God given potential.  The training we provide must be relevant, ethical, and forward-thinking, using the technology of today in preparation for tomorrow,” said SCA’s Head of School Linda Harrelson.  “Our objective is to use technology as an accelerator to enhance learning and develop the next generation of leaders to influence our culture.  The use of SmartBoards throughout the school and iPads in the high school is fully preparing our students for the digital world of tomorrow while enhancing their classroom experience today.”
