Integrity Roofing, LLC Surprises Local Charity With Award

February 23, 2013

Integrity Roofing, LLC received honorable mention during the NRCA’s 126th Annual Convention in San Antonio, TX on February 6, 2013 for their efforts with the Hope Network. They were presented with an award, a $1,000 check, to benefit their charity.

On Tuesday, February 12, 2013, Integrity Roofing surprised Janet Lowe, Executive Director of Hope Network, with the $1,000 check.  “Thank you for believing and partnering with us!” Janet stated upon receiving the check, “We can turn this $1,000 into $10,000 with all the work we do here.”

Each year, Hope Network provides qualifying families and individuals, with practical services to help meet their needs and most importantly to give them hope. Located in Raytown, Missouri, the Hope Network was uniquely created to assist this community. There, families who are in need of transportation can qualify for a donated car, or help with car repairs. Elementary children receive prescription glasses to ensure their school year is a success. And the most basic of all needs – food is provided by the thousands of pounds yearly to families, individuals, and seniors. Even children’s backpacks are filled with food before the weekend to ensure they will not go hungry or miss a meal when school is out!

Currently, the Hope Network’s health clinic is at full capacity - treating 56 patients each week. Their dental program is also seeing large numbers of people who are experiencing health concerns as a direct result of their dental related issues.

“The need is great,” Janet said, “This community needs people that advocate by telling people about Hope Network. Even if we don’t have money, we have voices. Everyone has a level where they can help. You can push a cart, donate a coat, we all have something we can give.”

As a roofing contractor and member of the NRCA (National Roofing Contractors Association), Integrity Roofing, LLC was eligible to participate in the CNA and NRCA Community Involvement Award. To be considered for this national award competition, Integrity Roofing had to be actively involved with their chosen charity (Hope Network) during the 2012 calendar year and share testimonies explaining why they felt their charity deserved this award.

The NRCA and CNA partnered to honor charitable works by NRCA member contractors by creating the CNA and NRCA Community Involvement Award. One winning company received $5,000 payable to its charity. Two runners-up received $1,000 each payable to their charities. (The CNA and NRCA received such an outpouring of heart felt nominations that they decided to expand the runner-up category to a total of four awards!) The awards were presented February 6, 2013 at NRCA’s Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception during NRCA’s 126th Annual Convention in San Antonio, TX.

Integrity Roofing is a Kansas City area roofing, siding and guttering specialist. Each year, Integrity Roofing gives back to the community through volunteering, donating needed items and/or providing financial assistance to local charities and nonprofit organizations.
