Lee’s Summit Medical Center Welcomes David Rios, MD, FACC

Lee’s Summit Medical Center, part of HCA Midwest Health System—Kansas City’s largest healthcare network and private-sector employer—announces five physicians joining its staff. Heath Parker, DO; Adam J. Henson, DO; Kristi Trimm, DO; David Rios, MD, FACC; and Aruna Rokkam, MD, offer a diverse range of medical expertise for people living and working in Lee’s Summit and surrounding communities.
Drs. Trimm, Rios and Rokkam are part of Midwest Physicians, which is part of HCA Midwest Health System. Midwest Physicians is a network of experienced, multi-specialty physicians located throughout the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area.

Dr. Rios is board certified in cardiology and internal medicine and practices at Midwest Heart and Vascular Specialists, part of Midwest Physicians. Dr. Rios received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, Calif., and completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass. He also completed a fellowship at University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Rios has received honors from the Robert Wood Johnson Minority fellowship, the American Heart Association and the American Federation for Clinical Research.
