Celebrity judges were two Lee’s Summit’s natives. Matt Lewis who is a highly acclaimed Las Vegas performer, Mike Metheny famous trumpet/flugelhorn soloist and Dodie Brown a well known local stage actress who frequently appears a the New Theatre. Guest performance by 2012 American Idol contestant and LSN graduate, Luke Minx. Judges had an extremely hard task of choosing from 20 top local area performers.
The talented committee; Anne Aubuchon, Chairman; Phyllis Balagna, Julie Bruce, Susan Coffman, Julie Doane, Gloria Helmer, Michelle Jennings,. Lori Knoche, Roby Little, Laura Maxwell, Cheryl Nash and Diane Seif along with a long list of volunteers that helped to make this event a huge success for Lee’s Summit Cares.
Lee’s Summit Got Talent was a fundraiser for Lee’s Summit Cares who’s mission is to direct, support and actively coordinate efforts of the community to significantly reduce substance abuse, promote youth safety and thereby improve the health and well-being of the community.
