What are the new colors and design trends for 2012? Are you re-decorating, needing to stage your home for a sale or looking to repurpose a room in your home? Experts like Jo Wilson, owner of New View Interiors, 400 S.W. Longview Blvd., Suite 105, can help meet your design needs. Starting in 1982 as Wallery Interiors and once located in the octagon-shaped building on Missouri 291, New View Interiors opened in April.
“I selected the New Longview area because of its unique community environment, future New Longview plans, proximity to housing developments and easy access to my Johnson County clients,” said Wilson. Next week begins the New View Design Institute, an exciting year of classes held at the design gallery on the second Thursday of each month from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Jan. 12 class will focus on the new colors of the year. Future classes will feature accessorizing, floral design, furniture and more. The $10 fee per class will include both supplies for a take home project plus 10 “New View Interiors dollars.” Enrollment is limited to 12 participants. Sign up online by visiting www.nvidesigngallery.com or at the shop.
Wilson, who also teaches at Johnson County Community College in the Interior Design Department, said, “I thoroughly enjoy combining my love of teaching and passion for design.” But her favorite part of the business is “building personal and professional relationships with clients.” She said ountless clients have been thrilled with results that are both enjoyable and rewarding.
The new design gallery will fit most every design need or a perfect for a special gift. With furniture, draperies, blinds, shades, shutters, wallpaper and countless accessories, the store is brimming with inspiration.
