Six Lee’s Summit R-7 School District high school seniors were recently named December Optimist Students of the Month by the Lee’s Summit Breakfast Optimist Club. The club honors six seniors each month for outstanding scholarship and citizenship.
Recognized students for December were Nikki Perrilloux, Lee’s Summit High School; Wes Orth, LSHS; Olivia Wheat, Lee’s Summit North High School; Patrick Graham, LSNHS; Rylie Buehrig, Lee’s Summit West High School; and Talon Townley, LSWHS.
Olivia Wheat, daughter of Sarah and Darrin Wheat, has been active in dance team, bronco smart, Spanish Honor Society and National Honor Society. After high school, Olivia plans to attend Drury University and major in elementary education with a minor in Spanish.
