Lee’s Summit VFW Post 5789 and Eddie’s Lounge are
holding a benefit for the family of an injured Lee’s Summit resident.

David King was on a ladder when he had an epileptic seizure.
He fell, injuring his spinal cord and leaving him a paraplegic.

The City of Lee's Summit is currently reviewing the ordinances covering the licensing of motorized scooters and mopeds.  Under the current ordinance, owners of scooters and mopeds were required to license them as motorcycles with the State of Missouri.

Drop off unwanted prescriptions in Lee's Summit on Feb. 4

The Lee’s Summit Police Department is partnering with LS Cares in an effort to recover and dispose of unwanted and expired prescription medications.  Residents will be able to turn in unwanted and expired prescription medications at one of three drop off locations in Lee’s Summit from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m on Saturday, Feb. 4.
