ReDiscover the Holidays Homes Tour to be held November 12-13
The ReDiscover the Holidays Homes Tour will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 12-13. Marking 8 years, this year’s tour has selected seven beautiful properties in the New Longview, Winterset Valley and Winterset Woods areas of Lee’s Summit for its extremely popular house tour.
For the first time since the 1980’s, the historic Longview Mansion will welcome thousands of holiday visitors through its doors. In addition, the award-winning Longview Farm Elementary and Longview Chapel will allow visitors to step back in time and enjoy the holiday spirit.
Some of Kansas City’s most-beloved designers will be imprinting their unique style signature on each private residence as well as the estate structures. Get your holiday season off to a great start by seeing what’s “in” for the 2011 holiday season.
The Chapel will host an array of holiday demonstrations on Saturday, November 12 from 11am - 4:30pm. The demonstrations will feature florists, designers and chefs including a demo by Chef Jasper Mirabile Jr. of Jasper’s Restaurant. The demonstration schedule is available at rediscovertheholidays.com.
This weekend will also be the perfect opportunity for holiday shopping at the ReDiscover the Holidays boutique offering a wide assortment of stylish, eclectic products. The boutique will be open during tour hours in the Longview Mansion.
Tour tickets are $25 and are available at Longview Farm Elementary. Groups of 10 or more can receive a discounted price of $15 per ticket.
ReDiscover the Holidays benefits the children and families served by ReDiscover, a nonprofit community mental health agency that offers a full spectrum of programs and services for people whose lives have been affected by mental illness and/or substance abuse.
