Saint Luke’s East Boo Ball

To support the new Appearance Renewal Center at
Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, the
Emaline Ballroom, 616 SW 3rd Street, will be hosting a
Boo Ball on October 27 from 7 to 11 p.m.
NBC Action News anchor and cancer survivor, Cynthia Newsome will host. Mrs. Kansas International 2012, will share her own story as a breast cancer survivor.
There will be costume contests, local artists crafting imaginative interpretations of renewal in the face of adversity, both live and silent auctions, live music, dancing, buffet, and a cash bar.
“This is the first year that we have incorporated the high school students. It was a way to draw the community in more to the event and to gain awareness.
The masks this year are going to be on display around Downtown Lee’s Summit and in City Hall. They will be available for purchase at the Boo Ball,” said Kelsie Fell of Saint Luke’s East Hospital.
The cost is $75 for individual tickets. Sponsorships start at $500.
