The Jackson County Genealogical Society (JCGS)

Saturday, 5 December 2009 – 10:00 a.m.
    The Jackson County Genealogical Society (JCGS) will feature Mr. John Dillingham at its meeting on Saturday, December 5th at 10:00 AM. Mr. Dillingham, a member and past president of the Native Sons and Daughters of Greater Kansas City, was awarded the 2009 Outstanding Kansas Citian Award
recently by the Native Sons organization. Mr. Dillingham’s presentation sponsored by JCGS will be Freedom’s Frontier: A National Heritage Area (consisting of the 41 area counties in Missouri and Kansas). Guests are welcome.
    The Jackson County Genealogical Society meets at the Truman Depot (Amtrak station) 1111 West Pacific Avenue in Independence where they house their research library. Visitors are welcome. Library hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tues, Thurs, Sat.
    Professional genealogy charts are available for purchase for the upcoming holiday season. For more information contact the JCGS Library at 252-8128, or jcgsprograms@yahoo.com
