With rain and snow forecast for early in the morning on Sunday, March 17, the City of Lee’s Summit Public Works crews began pre-treating primary and secondary streets at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.
According to the forecast, rain will begin before 3 a.m. on Sunday and eventually mix with snow. The City’s crews are also prepared to treat slick spots at intersections Sunday morning.
Residents are reminded to drive and walk cautiously on pavements, especially during the morning hours. The City will continue to monitor the weather and adjust snow removal operations as needed.
You may call the Snow Desk at (816) 969-1870. Normal business hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. During winter storm events, the Snow Desk operates 24 hours a day.
