Downtown Lee’s Summit Holiday Open House Features Gifts, Décor, Classes

Enter to Win a $100 Downtown Lee’s Summit Shopping Spree
Downtown Lee’s Summit hosts its annual Holiday Open House this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2-4, when dozens of participating downtown businesses will be dressed up for the holidays and feature the latest in holiday décor and gifts. Treats will be available for shoppers as well. Many businesses also will extend their store hours during the holidays, staying open until 8 p.m. every Friday from Nov. 2 to Dec. 28.
During the Holiday Open House, various merchants offer free holiday classes every hour on the hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3. Classes range from how to make holiday centerpieces and wreaths to how to make holiday cocktails and scrapbook pages. Advance registration is not necessary.

11 a.m. Holiday Mantle Decorating - Cameron's: 26 SE Third St.
11 a.m. Wreaths for the Holidays - Five Petals: 124 SW Third St.
12 p.m. Christmas Gifts in a Jar - A Thyme for Everything: 229B SE Main St.
1 p.m. Tie One On-Scarves for the Season - The Living Stone: 231 SE Main St.
2 p.m. Holiday Scrapbook Page - Scrapbook Boutique: 100 SE Third St.
3 p.m. A Fast, Low-Stress Meal for Friends and Neighbors - Henry's Antiques & Tea Room: 401 SE Douglas St.
4 p.m. Mix and Mingle: Add Some Holiday Cheer with Mixed Drinks - Mingle: 209 SE Main St.
While visiting downtown during the Holiday Open House, shoppers can enter to win one of two $100 Downtown Lee’s Summit shopping sprees. Entry forms are available at participating merchants. Two winners will be drawn at the end of the weekend. No purchase is necessary to enter. The downtown shopping sprees can be used at most downtown retail stores and restaurants.
