A Thyme For Everything Wins 2012 Business Excellence Award From Missouri Main Street Connection

A Thyme for Everything was chosen as the state’s 2012 Business Excellence Award winner from Missouri Main Street Connection. Owner Jet Pabst accepted the award from Gayla Rote, state director for MMSC on Thursday, July 26, at the Evening of Excellence at the Millennium Hotel in St. Louis, Mo.
The Business Excellence Award recognizes a business that demonstrates volunteerism and community involvement. A Thyme for Everything also was Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street’s 2012 Business of the Year.
A Thyme for Everything wasn’t alone. Downtown Lee’s Summit was well-represented at Missouri Main Street Connection’s 2012 Downtown Revitalization Awards on Thursday, July 26, in St. Louis, Mo. Councilmember Brian Whitley was recognized as a semi-finalist for the Outstanding Public Official Award. Amy Robertson, owner of Cameron’s Home Furnishings, was recognized as a semi-finalist for the Volunteer of the Year Award.
Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street’s Emerald Isle Parade was a semi-finalist for Special Event of the Year Volunteer Marian Zajic, owner of Marian’s Kids in Lee’s Summit, completed Main Street Basic Training and was awarded a certificate from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
