Boos & Barks Halloween Parade is Saturday, Oct. 27

Boos & Barks Halloween Parade is Saturday, Oct. 27

October 20, 2012

The Boos & Barks Halloween Parade is from
10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 27, in
Downtown Lee’s Summit. Children and dogs are invited to wear costumes and join in the parade from City Hall Plaza to Howard Station Park. After the parade, children are welcome to trick-or-treat at participating downtown businesses. Awards will be given out for the best costumes. Sponsors include Bank of Lee’s Summit, Lee’s Summit Journal and Lee’s Summit Police and Fire Departments.

9 a.m.: Register for the costume contest at City Hall Plaza, 220 S.E. Green St.; watch K9 demonstrations and more.
9:45 a.m.: Line-up for parade at City Hall Plaza.
10 a.m.: Parade begins up Third Street.
10:15 a.m. - Noon: Trick-or-treating at downtown businesses; check out special units and vehicles from Lee’s Summit Police and Fire Departments.
11:30 a.m.: Awards ceremony in Howard Station Park, at S.E. Main Street.
