Downtown church will sell building
October 22, 2011
Lee’s Summit United Methodist Church will be moving to a new location but first must sell its current property. In 2006, the church purchased 43 acres at the intersection of Chipman Road and View High Drive, where it plans to build a new home for its expanding congregation.
The church has listed its current property, 114 S.E. Douglas, with Zimmer Real Estate Services. James Preisig, senior pastor, said that Zimmer will work with the Board of Trustees to ensure that whoever buys the downtown church will be good stewards of the property.
Signs on the property will soon advertise that it is for sale.
