Gold N Design Burglary downtown Lee's Summit

November 9, 2013

On October 23rd just before 2 A.M. the Lee’s Summit Police responded to an alarm call at Gold N Design at 239 SE Main Street. The glass next to the door had been broken out, and a grey pipe wrench was found adjacent to one of two broken windows. It appeared that the burglar stepped through one of the broken windows.

Inside the store Police found three glass cases either knocked over or broken in place.

The owner of the store, Dale Hurt, who lives in the immediate neighborhood, arrived at the scene and assisted Police Department employees processing the scene.

Mr. Hurt stated that an inventory would need to be completed before he could ascertain what was missing and the items value.

This is an active investigation and further information will be released as it arrives from the Police Department. If anyone has any information regarding this crime, please call the Lee’s Summit Police Department on their non-emergency phone number, 816.969.1700.
