New Downtown Board President Elected

January 24, 2015

Lynn Hinkle

The Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street Board of Directors elected a new president on Jan. 6, 2015. Lynn Hinkle, currently with Great Southern Bank, was elected to the position, which was left open after previous president, John Beaudoin, accepted a position with the City of Lee’s Summit.

Hinkle has been on the DLSMS board of directors since July 2014, and serves on the Promotions, Organization and Farmers Market committees in Downtown Lee’s Summit. She also has been a Downtown Lee’s Summit supporter as a volunteer, shopper, investor and overall ambassador. Hinkle received Downtown Lee’s Summit’s Mary Stacy Ambassador of the Year Award in 2014.

“I am thrilled to continue being part of our Downtown Main Street and look forward to sharing my passion for this community with others,” she said.

Hinkle plans to focus on expanding the knowledge of downtown shopping and events, as well as making downtown a true destination. “Downtown Lee’s Summit is where it’s all happening, and we have so many great aspects people are not aware of.”

While banking has been Hinkle’s main career, she also is involved in the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, where she is a past chair, and serves on the Lee’s Summit Medical Center board of directors. She also volunteers for Partners in Education, St. Margaret’s Church and Langsford Boys Home in Lee’s Summit.
