The Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street Board of Directors elected a
new president on Jan. 6, 2015. Lynn Hinkle, currently with Great
Southern Bank, was elected to the position, which was left open after
previous president, John Beaudoin, accepted a position with the City of
Hinkle has been on the DLSMS board of directors since July 2014, and serves on the Promotions, Organization and Farmers Market
committees in Downtown Lee’s Summit. She also has been a Downtown Lee’s
Summit supporter as a volunteer, shopper, investor and overall ambassador. Hinkle received Downtown Lee’s Summit’s Mary Stacy Ambassador of the Year Award in 2014.
“I am thrilled to continue being part of our Downtown Main Street
and look forward to sharing my passion for this community with others,”
Hinkle plans to focus on expanding the knowledge of downtown
shopping and events, as well as making downtown a true destination.
“Downtown Lee’s Summit is where it’s all happening, and we have so many
great aspects people are not aware of.”
While banking has been Hinkle’s main career, she also is involved
in the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, where she is a past chair, and
serves on the Lee’s Summit Medical Center board of directors. She also
volunteers for Partners in Education, St. Margaret’s Church and
Langsford Boys Home in Lee’s Summit.
