Sarah Shore, Assistant Director of Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street is a downtown resident who loves the historic area and homes. She is a fan of This Old House and a subscriber to the magazine. While reading the magazine on day, Sarah came across the story looking for Best Old House Neighborhoods for 2010. Feeling strongly that her neighborhood was a winner, Sarah took photos and prepared a detailed nomination. Thanks to her extraordinary writing skills Old Lee’s Summit was selected as one of the Best Places to Buy an Old House. The magazine was looking for “simple over looked neighborhoods populated by people who share an appreciation of finely crafted homes that have plenty of past and lots of future”.
