People On The Move: Stephanie Kusek

January 11, 2014

Downtown Main Street’s Communications Coordinator Stephanie Kusek graduated from the University of Kansas in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and an emphasis in Strategic Communication. She also spent six months studying in Newcastle, Australia, where she learned to surf, eat vegemite and speak the Aussie lingo while traveling the east coast of Australia.

Most recently, she has worked as Community Brand Intern in Lee’s Summit under Brand Manager Jim McKenna.

As Downtown’s Communications Coordinator, Stephanie handles all social media and communications, as well as works on advertising and designing marketing materials. She also helps with DLSMS events and Stacy Needels asures her she will love every minute she spends helping with 2014 Downtown Days Festiva! When not working Downtown, she can be found hanging out with friends and family, cheering on the KU Jayhawks or working on a new Pinterest project.
