Facility Closings On Memorial Day

Lee’s Summit City Hall, 220 SE Green St., and the Lee’s Summit Municipal Court, 10 NE Tudor, will be closed on Monday, May 26, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The following City facilities will be either be closed or have reduced hours of operation as a result of Monday’s holiday:

Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation’s (LSPR) facility hours:

LSPR’s Administrative office inside City Hall and Harris Park Community Center, 1110 SW Blue Parkway, will be closed.

Legacy Park Community Center, 901 NE Bluestem Drive, will close at 4 p.m.

Gamber Center, 4 SE Independence Ave., will close at 4 p.m.

Summit Waves, 120 SW Blue Parkway, will be open from noon to 7p.m.

Resource Recovery Park (landfill and South Recycling Center), 2101 SE Hamblen Road, will be open Saturday, May 24, and will be closed on Monday, May 26.

North Recycling Center, 1951 NE Douglas Street, will be open on Saturday, and will be closed on Monday as usual.

Animal Control Facility, 1991 SE Hamblen Road, will be closed to the public Monday. To request the services of an Animal Control Officer on Monday, call (816) 969-1640 or (816) 969-7390.

City facilities will re-open on Tuesday, May 27, with regular hours of operation.

Essential public safety service, such as police and fire protection, will not be impacted by the holiday.
