Farmers Insurance Provides More Than Peace Of Mind

March 22, 2014

Krissie Hutchins, Operations Manager, Greg Olinger, Owner and Agent, Mindy Hall, Marketing Manager

Greg Olinger has been involved in the insurance and finance industry ever since he graduated college. He has held many positions in the insurance industry, many of which required travel, before he decided to strike out on his own as an independent agent with Farmers Insurance 10 years ago. Having his own business has allowed him to run things the way he thinks they should be run, and to spend more time with his family.

Since opening, Greg decided that he wanted to be in the heart of the Lee’s Summit community and moved his business downtown. He says, "Even though drive by traffic isn’t crucial for our business, we wanted to be in a location that would allow us to have as much involvement in the community as possible".

Greg’s office provides many valuable services, including home, auto, life, commercial, financial services and health insurance. Greg says that what sets his agency apart from other insurance agencies is their experience, professionalism, and the level of personal service they offer. They commit to return every customer phone call by the end of each day and live by the motto, ‘The customer is always right’.

This expectation of exceptional service and products is reflected in the many awards that the agency has earned over the years. His office has earned Top Producer in multiple areas of production in his Kansas City District. Greg has achieved the company’s highest award to district managers and agents for "outstanding overall performance." Olinger joined a select group of fellow achievers as a member of the 2013 prestigious President’s Council. Council selections are based on outstanding customer service, sales production in all insurance lines, overall professional competence and maintenance of the highest quality standards. The prestigious President’s Council membership is attained by only a small percentage of district managers and agents (1 percent) serving Farmers’ customers throughout the United States. This year, 147 individuals earned the distinct honor.

As far as what the future holds, Greg notes, "Down the road, we would love to add more employees and we would love to see this agency grow."

If you would like more information about any of these services from a local, downtown agent, give Greg Olinger a call at 816-434-6000.
