Fire Damages A Lee's Summit Home Located At 4425 SW Rivulet Drive

On Thursday, December 02, 2010, at 8:30 PM, the Lee’s Summit Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 4425 SW Rivulet Drive. The occupant called 911 and reported the house was on fire and they were trapped on the second floor.
When the fire department arrived, smoke was coming from a two story, single-family residence. A bystander had placed a ladder to the second floor window and a police officer was assisting the occupants down the ladder. All of the occupants were then reported out of the house.
Firefighters entered the structure and extinguished a fire burning in the first floor living room. The fire was under control by 9:10 PM.
The fire was contained to the living room. The remainder of the house sustained heavy heat and smoke damage.
