Fire Heavily Damages Lee's Summit Home at 208 SE 16th Terrace

On Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 2:06 PM, the Lee’s Summit Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 208 SE 16th Terrace. The occupants were outside when they noticed smoke coming from the house, they looked inside and saw fire coming from the area of the dryer. They called 911 and remained outside.
When the fire department arrived, heavy smoke and fire was coming from a small single-story, single family residence. Firefighters went to a defensive attack from the outside of the building. The fire was under control at 2:54 PM.
The fire caused extensive damage to the structure making it unsafe to enter. The remainder of the house sustained heavy heat and smoke damage.
