Garage Fire Damages Lee's Summit Home at 404 SW Seagull Street.
On Sunday, December 19, 2010, at 11:17 p.m., the Lee’s Summit Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 404 SW Seagull Street. An occupant of the house called 911 and reported a fire in the garage.
When the fire department arrived, fire was coming from the attached garage of a two-story single-family residence. All of the occupants were reported to be safely out the house.
Firefighters entered the structure to attack the fire and contain it to the garage. The fire was under control by 11:39 p.m..
The fire caused extensive damage to the garage and to a vehicle and utility trailer parked inside. The fire did not spread beyond the garage, but did cause moderate to heavy smoke damage to the living area of the house.
