Gary Hart of Lee's Summit R-7 accepted into intensive summer languages program in China

Gary Hart, Chinese teacher at Lee's Summit North High School, Bernard Campbell Middle School, Pleasant Lea Middle School and Lee's Summit West High School, was recently accepted for the 2011 Intensive Summer Language Institutes Program in China.
The program is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and administered by American Councils for International Education. Mr. Hart will be at Northeast Normal University (a Teachers' University) in Changchun, China, from June 21 to August 6. He will receive 10 graduate credits for this program. He will also receive grants to purchase classroom materials and conduct other education activities to build on the exchange experience.
