Grandview Municipal Court Amnesty Day Scheduled for March 8
February 15, 2013
Individuals with Outstanding Warrants with the Grandview Municipal Court Will Be Able to Avoid Jail and Additional Penalties
Grandview, Mo ---- Grandview Municipal Court will hold its first Amnesty Court Day on Friday, March 8, 2013, from 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.at the Grandview Municipal Court Building, 1200 Main Street, Grandview, Mo.
People with a variety of outstanding warrants with the Grandview Municipal Court will be able to avoid jail and/or additional penalties during Amnesty Court. No warrants will be served during Amnesty Day, so every individual who shows up will not be arrested and failure to appear fees will be waived for this day only.
This is a great opportunity for those who have outstanding local warrants (Grandview only) to appear in Court, and have court dates set or pay fines. Pleas of guilty will be accepted by the judge, fines can be paid and warrants recalled. In cases where driver’s license suspensions have been issued, compliance notices will be given after fines are paid so driving privileges may be reinstated.
Those who want to learn if they have an outstanding warrant should call Grandview Municipal Court at 816.316.4837.
It is important to note that should an individual with an outstanding warrant come into contact with law enforcement before Amnesty Day, he or she may be subject to arrest.
