The Greenwood Country Tea Room is officially open under new ownership. Brenda Barner says business is great since opening the restaurant three weeks ago.
After working several years at Henry’s Team Room in Lee’s Summit, Barner decided to look for something a little bit different and quit this past March. But what she found was that she really missed the restaurant business and found an opportunity to reopen the Greenwood Country Tea Room after a summer closing announcement.
Barner says she has a whole new menu and that they’re reveling in the delight of fall desserts--but noted that they would be changing things up come November 1 to prepare for the antique mall’s holiday open house and the November - mid-January winter holiday season.
She says she loves working in Greenwood and is thrilled to have such wonderful people surrounding her: both guests and crew.
"I don’t know," she gushed. "I just feel really blessed."
The Greenwood Country Tea Room is located at 502 Main Street in Greenwood, Missouri. They are open six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling 816-537-8434.
