High-End Dealership Moving To Lee’s Summit

December 28, 2013

Capital Motors has been granted a special use permit for auto sales in Lee’s Summit. Kyle Wine stated that the dealership is currently located in Blue Springs and intends to relocate to a warehouse facility near Colbern Road and M-291 Highway.

They specialize in high-end automobiles: Porsche, Jaguar, Audi and other "exotic" cars. The majority of their business is done online and they frequently sell and ship vehicles across the country and internationally. Most of their inventory is stored inside and they do not use flags or banners to draw attention to the business; they do not expect surrounding traffic to increase dramatically.

The business does not offer repair or other ancillary services beyond detailing and basic maintenance.

Capital Motors has four employees and will maintain an inventory of up to 50 vehicles.

They will be renting the building at 1703 NE Rice Road, just south of the Grass Pad, with intent to purchase assuming business is successful.

The permit is for a ten-year period and was approved with a unanimous vote by the city council.
