Hot On the Street in Lee's Summit
Nov. 11, 2011
By Mary Pechar features@lstribune.net
Tonight, a hot new concept hits the streets of Lee’s Summit. Out for a night on the town? Want to end it with breakfast? Is your favorite breakfast spot Neighborhood Café?
Well, starting tonight 11-11-11 the Rolling Café will be rolling to the corner of 3rd and S.E. Main bringing you hot, cooked to order breakfast.
Neighborhood Café partners Ben Wine and Tony Olson were sitting back talking about ways to expand their presence in Lee’s Summit. They have also been watching the explosion of food trucks around the country and in the Metro area. It didn’t take long for the Rolling Café to become a plan and even less time to hit the road.
Staffed by your favorite Neighborhood Café cooks and wait staff, the Rolling Café will be serving biscuits & gravy, breakfast sandwiches, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage and giant breakfast burritos.
It will be tight quarters, but the truck contains a full kitchen and will be using Neighborhood Café recipes. The initial rollout will be Friday and Saturday nights from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. on the corner of 3rd and S. E. Main, Downtown Lee’s Summit.
As the Rolling Café moves to other spots in the future, they will continually post their location on both their Facebook Site (Rolling Café) and on their web site http://RollingCafeKC.com.
