Human Remains of Matthew A Johnston Found in Blue Summit, MO

On Tuesday, February 16, 2010 the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a citizen who had located what appeared to be human skeletal remains in a wooded area NW of 18th St. and Sedweek in Blue Summit, MO.
The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation in locating and recovering the remains and the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified them as those of 33 year old Matthew A. Johnston.
At this time the Medical Examiner’s Office has not determined the cause of death and the case remains under investigation.
