Jackson County MO Sheriff’s Office Responds on Death of 2 Year Old

April 24, 2014

On 04-23-2014 at approximately 5:45 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call in reference to a non-breather in the 10100 block of Perdue Road in unincorporated Grain Valley, MO.

Deputies immediately responded and contacted the victim’s mother who stated they were having a gathering at the residence, and they lost sight of the child for a period of time.  She told investigators that after looking for the child, they found him floating in an above ground pool in the rear of the residence.

The child was taken to a local hospital where they worked to save him but he later died.  He was identified as 2 year old Zeb’Ulen Klaus of that address.
