Jackson County Salutes Chiefs’ Great & Legislator Fred Arbanas

September 2, 2014

UPDATE:
"Out of respect for the victims and families in the south Kansas City shootings, we are postponing Wednesday's Jackson County Salute to Fred Arbanas. We will notify the media when the event is rescheduled. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are suffering." ~ Jackson County Public Information Officer Lisa Carter.

Wednesday, September 3, 2014 - 3:00 p.m. Downtown Courthouse in KC

After serving for more than 41 years, Fred Arbanas will soon be saying goodbye to the Jackson County Legislature. Fred left a legacy even before he was elected.

The 6-time All-Star tight end helped lead the Kansas City Chiefs to 3 AFL Championships and a victory in Super Bowl IV.

As we get pumped up for the 2014 Chiefs season, please join County Executive Mike Sanders and hundreds of employees on the front steps of the downtown courthouse for a special salute to Chiefs Super Bowl Champion and Jackson County Legislator Fred Arbanas.

There will be lots of surprises and special guests, including KC Wolf, Chiefs Cheerleaders, Arrowhead Stadium Announcer Dale Carter and more.

The public is invited as we get ready for the Chiefs home opener against the Tennessee Titans. We hope you can join us and don’t forget to wear RED!
