Current Aldermen & Alderwoman Eat Free March 19

March 1, 2014

Our ladies have a new recipe for spaghetti sauce this year that is nothing short of yum! You can choose the hearty sauce with fresh ground beef, onion, herbs and fire roasted tomatoes or of course the traditional red sauce that is equally delish.

The new Italian Salad Bar lets you create a salad meal in and of itself and you can top it with a choice of dressings. Be sure to add a slice of Janet Frazier’s grrrrreat garlic bread to your plate. Scrumptious desserts and good companionship will be served up too.

So come for some tasty eats. A free raffle ticket for a special drawing is included with the price of your meal ticket. Join us in saying "thank you for your service" to our City Aldermen, our guests of honor. 2014 Aldermen candidates are also invited, but they’ll have to come as the regular citizens they still are but will be easily recognized with a name tag. No politicking or baby kissing please: our Community Club has a "no politics" policy. So come for good food, camaraderie and fun.

This is one of several fundraisers the Community Club hosts every year. The Community Club takes on a variety of projects during the year and partners with other organizations like the Garden Club for the Rose Garden and the Easter Egg Hunt with the Optimists. The Club also has outreach programs for our homebound neighbors and the elderly. Some of you may have seen the man in the red suit at City Hall last November. We helped with that too.

Tickets for adults are $8, kids 12 and under are $4, and kids under 3 are free. Get your tickets from a Community Club friend or one of the ladies at the door.

Bring the family, invite your neighbors, or treat a senior citizen to an early evening excursion from 5 to 7 PM March 19th at the Community Club!
